I'm almost ready with my mini book tour around Montana. I have set up workshops and seminars in twelve communities in two months (June and July.) It seems daunting. At the workshops I'll be talking about writing memoir and self-publishing, along with introducing "Walking Wounded" and signing both books. Everyone I've talked to has been so gracious, and excited to have the event in their towns. All the libraries have said there is a three to four month waiting list for "Dancing." It will be an interesting adventure. Now it's time to get the RV ready.
I will have the proof copy of "Walking" in my hands tomorrow. I'm eagerly waiting. This one was much easier than "Dancing." I need the first shipment to take with me to Montana. I hope there's time.
Russ (my layout artist) and I have learned a lot, that I'm going to share on the tour. Russ is moving to northern California in June. Thank God for the internet. He'll still be able to work with me.

Last night I heard Leni Holliman's redaction of the panel at the Montana Festival of the Book. Of course, I was impressed. Where is your schedule of workshops that you're doing this summer? I'm in Valier. I'm self-publishing through Lulu.com and am interested in comparing notes.
Are you still in Sequim? Did you know Nancy McLaughlin Powell, the artist, when she also lived in Sequim? About the same age, I think.

Hi Mary: Nice to hear from you. I wasn't aware of any comments on the Festival panel except Jodi Rave's. I'll look Leni up on Google.
I'm doing workshops on memoir writing and self publishing between June 22 and October 11, in Miles City, Glendive, Circle, Sidney, Wolf Point, Glasgow, Malta, Lewistown, Big Timber, Livingston,White Sulphur Springs and Dillon. If you would like specifics, my e-mail address is Mtbarb@yahoo.com.
I have used Trafford for my first two books. After a rocky start, they have served very well.
I've been living part-time in Sequim since Nov, 0224, to be near an aging relative. We'll be back in White Sulphur when she no longer needs us. I don't know Ms. McLaughlin. Too busy writing, I guess.
My niece lives in Valier. I used to work there a lot. Vicki Pulver worked for me.
I'd be very grateful if you spread the word about my website and blog. I'm a novice, and spend most of my time writing or promoting my books. Thanks!
